Closing the Gap: How Clean Cooking Can Address Time Poverty

Recent studies from McKinsey, Gates, and others suggest that to achieve women’s empowerment and gender equality we must address the unpaid care work burden of women and girls. A significant portion of this burden comes from time spent cooking and collecting fuel, which can take several hours a day in the developing world. This session will bring together experts and practitioners to examine how time-saving clean cooking solutions can be effective mechanisms for driving socio-economic impacts for women and girls.
