We are pleased to welcome you to this landmark biennial gathering of organizations, corporations, and people across the clean cooking market and related sectors. This Forum is the largest gathering of stakeholders working to accelerate the production, deployment, and use of cleaner, more efficient cookstoves and fuels around the world.

This year’s Clean Cooking Forum – under the theme Driving Demand, Delivering Impact – marks the progression to strengthening and sustaining the market we have collectively built in the past several years. We take this week as an opportunity to celebrate the sector’s success, share best practices, and forge new partnerships as we work toward the goal of universal access to cleaner, more efficient cookstoves and fuels by 2030.

We are thrilled to have the Forum and all of you in India, a country whose commitment and innovations around clean cooking are a driving force for global progress on this issue. India’s unprecedented campaign to provide LPG connections to 50 million below-poverty-line families over three years is already delivering tangible benefits to Indians across the country. We are fortunate to have the support of numerous Indian partners at this year’s Forum, including Government of India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, NITI Aayog, Tata Trusts, Teri, and the Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN).

More than 50 countries and dozens of Alliance partners are expected to be represented at this year’s Forum, and we thank them for contributing their extensive expertise, creativity, and time to the development of the program. The resulting agenda represents the wide range of diversity, dynamism, and growth of the partnerships across the sector.

The Forum is packed with informative sessions, networking opportunities, site visits, and technology demonstrations. We are incredibly pleased every one of you could join us and are confident that together we will continue to demonstrate strong and sustainable results are transforming lives as the global market for cookstoves and fuels grows.
