Market-Based Cooking Interventions in Humanitarian Settings – What are the Conditions for Success?
As the international aid community struggles to cope with record levels of human displacement, more organizations are assessing the viability of market-based approaches – cash transfers, vouchers, carbon financing, revolving loans, and other mechanisms – to distribute clean cooking solutions to crisis-affected people. This panel session, followed by Q&A, will incorporate humanitarian, private sector, and finance perspectives to discuss the opportunities and unique challenges associated with cooking in humanitarian settings, including recent case studies.
