South-South Transfer of Knowledge on Clean Cooking: How Governments are Helping Scale the Sector

Clean cooking efforts around the world have evolved considerably over the last few years. South-South cooperation is increasingly critical as we seek to build upon practices and efforts without reinventing the wheel. It can also be very helpful to hear practical advice on the “how tos” in enabling particular interventions to support market and enterprise growth. Several country governments have also committed to further supporting cooking efforts outside of their countries – including China and India. This session will also discuss potential areas of support for other developing countries regarding policy, research, women’s engagement and leadership, and capacity building to develop large-scale cleaner and more efficient cookstoves and fuels programs.
