Viraj leads GOGLA’s efforts in India to help its members in scaling the off-grid electrification market in India by acting as their India Representative. Before joining GOGLA Viraj was leading his own social enterprise in India – GramGati which sold high quality essential products to rural Indian households. GramGati was able to sell more than 60,000 products impacting 300,000+ rural people over a period of 14 months. Having travelled across rural areas in all 29 states in India, Viraj has a good grasp of the rural Indian markets and consumers. He has worked with Greenlight Planet, KisanKraft and Z.S. Associates in business development, sales strategy and sales consulting domains.
