Biography

Richenda is an international energy access expert who from 2010-2016 founded and headed Energy Access at the UN Foundation and engagement with the UN Sustainable Energy for All Initiative. She currently serves as Chair, International Institutions at the Global LPG Partnership (clean cooking), and on the Technical Advisory Group to ESMAP at the World Bank. Her deep public and private sector experience includes commercial and impact investment in emerging markets renewable energy companies with Good Energies, and five years as CEO of Trickle Up, an international women’s microenterprise non-profit. She is a board member of SELCO India, a US “C3E” Women’s Clean Energy Ambassador (Clean Energy Ministerial), and serves on the Zayed Future Energy Prize Selection Committee.
